the chase
The Chase
I met her the moment I fell onto her cheek,
Every once in a while I could hear a small shriek.
It wasn’t only me,
Some, raced down as if to play
While others, were wiped away.
What was she feeling? I didn’t know.
A fight with a friend? Or a foe?
Oh! It was hard to tell.
Some days, she felt just so sad,
While others, sent her clearly mad.
I moved swiftly down her face,
There were many more in the chase.
As one fell, one more came.
Some of us are to destroy,
While others, are used for joy.
