I Lived

I rose from the ashes,
from a burnt out fire
I rose from the corrupt world
Dark, damp, it felt endless
I rose from the dirt
the dirt we walk upon
I rose from the failures
the times I did not succseed
From the disappointing moments
I was motivated
I rose from the positives
They showed me what it could be like
I rose from obtaining these moments
To strive forward
To fall far from the ordinary
To live and learn
as the time fades
One man stands with me
