Elephant
There’s an elephant in the room
I’m trying to ignore the tension.
But it’s not easy
when you're trying to mend a broken bond.
The hurt feelings radiating off of the person is in huge waves of hurt.
I know if I want this bond to mend then I can’t ignore the elephant.
He weighs two tons, his ears flop over into his eyes
and his nose tries to blow out the tension but the tension is too strong for him.
I guess I can’t ignore the elephant any longer.
So here it goes, hopefully while talking, the elephant will be able to blow out the tension.
And create some more room in this tight small place, once he leaves.
