Freedom
To this here day
There is no true freedom
War still fought
And U.S. still beat them
Abe Lincoln preached
To those who still stand
"All men are created equal"
It's time to expand this plan
"A new birth of freedom"
For all under God
Men are hard workers
And women are abroad
Time to end this war
To make peace with all
And make a difference in this world
For this, we applaud
We the people, have freedom.

My American Literature teacher, Allison Read, inspired me to write this poem. I like to write poems in the rythm of a rap song because, it lets your mind open with a variety of ideas instead of concentrating so hard to come up with an idea. Go with the flow. I hope people take that they are lucky to have freedom and to honor those who fought for them to have it. Freedom is a big deal to people and those who don't have freedom suffer from not knowing the great things they can do or what to explore other than what they know. You have to fight for your freedom for the right reasons and not take advantage of it.
