Sleep
The stars are out and the sun is resting
I close my eyes and begin descending
Into the trance of which I love
The trance of sleep and all the above
The night is young and there’s plenty of time
To do my homework and finish by nine,
But there are things to do and food to devour
The night drags on. What’s another hour?
The stars are now tired along with my mind
But there is still an x, which needs to be defined
And along with the stars, I fall asleep
And rise with the sun; I do repeat.
