Where am I
Reflection is a fear you can't escape.
It comes in various shapes and sizes.
It mirrors our true form on the outside,
But holds back the true form on the inside.
We may just think our reflection is opaque,
But that's just a little dirty trick our mind plays.
Because to our reflection we seem transparent,
With baggy pants that sag to the ankle
To the nose and hair identical to Barbie's.
We have swapped our identities for modern technology
And our voices for keyboards.
What ever happened to superman and batman being our children's heroes?
Now we're left with spray tan loving unrefined party animals.
Where's the hero in that?

I was thinking about how we as a society have lost sight of who we really are. Technology has taken over our lives and we try so hard to imitate what we see on TV, like the Jersey Shore cast --the spray tan loving unrefined party animals.
