Oblivion
The stars are on the edge of oblivion
compared to the escalating intensity of your eyes
And the way their glimmering glances
slither and prowl like spies
It's a constant battle
between stupidity and lust.
Who's at fault? Who's to blame?
For making me crave you, for making me trust.
The answer is locked,
caged above the clouds and the stars.
To why I've let this haunting take over me
My soul is impaled with your glass shards.
The ones containing that smile,
the one that withholds a wicked curse.
And the hands that grasped mine in protection,
but then covered me in bruises that lurked.
I allowed your charm to deceive me,
and your laugh to fill me with light.
But then you trapped me in a broken war,
and then left me alone to repair and fight.
