Society
In society we are told to be ourselves
In society we are told different is good
In society we are told natural is pretty
In society we are told not to lie
In society we are told just because you have a little more fat on your thighs doesn’t mean you aren’t beautiful
In society we are told your materialistic things don’t matter
In society they say follow your heart
If society says these things why do we say things like
You need to act more like a girl
You need to toughen up
Why are you so different
Why do you you act like everyone else
Why are you wearing so much makeup
You look better with makeup
Why don’t you just lie
Why aren’t you just honest
You’re so fat
You look like a twig
What are you wearing
You've been knocked down so many times
How are you supposed to follow your heart
If it is in a million pieces
