My Best Friend
Through thick and thin,
you have always been there for me like a twin.
Never giving up on me,
and always having hope for thee.
I hope one day I’ll be as good to you,
as you have been to me.
It is my dream don’t you know
to watch you succeed.
To never back down,
and to never frown.
When you are sad,
I hope I can make you glad.
Like when your mother comforts you.
I never want to see you cry,
because that just might make me die.
I don’t know how to express to you,
that I love everything you do.
Even when we fight,
I know that you aren’t using all your might.
Because when it's all over and finished,
I know it will be diminished.
Like after you fight with your parents.
And maybe in college,
we’ll be study buddies and gain some more knowledge.
Like Harry Potter studied with Hermione and Ron.
When you get stressed about all the tests,
I will suggest that you get some rest.
And if you do bad once or twice,
I will give you some good advice.
When your teacher is giving you a bad grade,
I’ll try to be your aid.
And when you meet the right guy.
I have to approve,
so then you two can get on your groove.
He’ll most likely become your spouse.
And I won’t be able to wait to invite you over to my house.
We’ll reminisce about the old times,
and maybe eat some key lime pie.
And if you ever have kids.
I want you to know I will spoil them rotten.
And I will bring them toys that I promise you I have not forgotten .
I want to be the first to hold them,
So we can build a relationship,
like the flower to the stem.
I want you to know my dear friend.
That I love everything about you and the time we spend.
Thank you for being there for me,
through thick and thin.
You have been like my twin.
