Before
The world started before Dorothy and her slippers,
Before the wicked witches ruled all the misses and the misters.
Before George Zimmerman was wrongfully set free,
And back before Ali was stinging like a bee.
Before Marie Antoinette told her people to eat some cake,
And that was before her people threw her wake.
Before John Hancock was the first to sign his name upon that paper,
After the colonists had fought for imperial hatred.
Before Caesar discovered for leading he had a knack,
Until his best friend buried a knife inside his back.
And still before Moses had parted the sea,
After he had set all of his people free.
Before Adam and Eve had walked upon the land,
After turning their backs on their God's all mighty hand.
And before all this the dinosaurs walked the Earth,
So think about those before you before claiming you're the first.
If you get rich off of your ideas don't forget the poor,
Because everything you've said has been said before.
