Inspiration
Have you ever looked at someone
And seen talent in their eyes
Making you want to rise
And be the best you can be?
Or have seen something amazing
That made your mind dance
And believe that you have a chance
And forget the phrase 'I can't'?
Or witnessed a spark
That lit up the dark
And wanted to be as powerful as it
And climb out of the pit
that was stopping you from breaking through?
Or caught a smile
That made you think of a huge pile
Of ideas that stood as high as a mile?
Or heard a brilliant tune
That took you to the moon
And made your heart go boom?
Or read a book
That made you look
And caught your fall
And knocked the wall
That kept you from your greatness?
This is inspiration.

This is a poem I wrote a few years ago, when I was around eleven years old.
