Heartbreak and Depression
Heartbreak and Depression,
They fit together like a lock and key.
One leads to another but in the end you’re still broken.
You try and hide it, but you can’t.
It’s like drowning in your own pool of tears.
Like you’re falling into a never ending hole.
Heartbreak and Depression,
It kills you slowly.
You say you’re fine, but inside you’re dying.
You do everything to try and be happy but you’re happiness comes in tears,
Yearning for help,
Feeling like you have nowhere to go to.
You try so hard to be happy but you’re in too deep.
Heartbreak and Depression,
You don’t know what to do.
You’re completely lost.
You cry and cry.
It’s like a never ending storm.
Like a hurricane coming to destroy your life.
They promise you forever but then you remember forever doesn’t exist.
You might be smiling, but inside your dying.
You try to act okay but you don’t even know what okay feels like.
Heartbreak and Depression,
They lead you to nothing.
A bullet would hurt less than the pain you feel inside.
You’ve become insecure,
As if everyone around is staring at you judging you.
You start to go numb.
Feeling nothing at all.
Your happiness like a feather falling.
No one seems to hear it but you sure do feel it.
Heartbreak and Depression,
Tear after tear,
Sleepless night after sleepless night,
The feeling of being lost.
In the end you’ll be alright.
Remember this pain next time you claim to be in love,
Soon enough you’ll be here again.
