Label Me
Label me this
Label me that
With an elegant tip of the hat you'd think I'm some form of aristocrat
But if I was blaring my stereo with the type of music you don't like
Then you'd think I'm some hoodlum
That's a stereotype
So cast your judgement with a fishing pole
And once that bobber sinks
You begin to reel
But have you ever thought how that fish might feel
Of course not
Because you can't let it go
And I know it so
But I beg you please
What ever happened to catch and release?
When the sun sets on the sea, I'm still my owm man
I wrote my name in the sand
So I guess you're the waves that washed it away
Yet here I stand, unstable
Unable to rip these labels
That lie about who I am
