The Wall
I've learned to smile on my own,
to laugh on my own,
to be happy on my own.
I built up my walls.
I'v learned trust should be rare,
respect is a gift,
and love can be harsh.
I built my walls up higher.
I'v learned people suck,
letting people in is a terrible mistake
and staying to myslef would be better.
I built my walls up even higher.
I met this guy
and I let him in.
I started to tear down my walls.
He hurt me.
I was to weak to fix the wall.
Then I met a "friend",
he told me I didn't need the wall,
so I let my guard down.
It nearly killed me.
I rebuilt my walls,
hard as steel,
as indestructible as titanium.
