The Destroyed
Thrown to the side
It now has nothing of worth
What possibly could sharp broken edges be
Watch out parents warn
It might hurt you others say
The ones who are no longer in one piece get marked
And tossed out
No fight
And no disagreement
No one ever thinks of the art
That could be made
Because broken things are worthless
The color is cast aside
With the shape
And the left over beauty
Who broke it?
No one asks
Why?
Because it's not the destroyer who is no longer valid
It is the destroyed

I wrote this piece after watching how society affects impressionable teens. Everybody deserves to see their own beauty and it's sad to see society take that away. Remember that where ever you are in your life, you will always be whole.
