Dear Mom
Dear Mom,
These next few days
I know you’ll ask me
where everyone is
and why I am suddenly alone.
And I know I’ll say
that I just needed a break
some time alone,
but what no one realizes
is that,
the truck stopped the other day
and threw me out.
I am sitting on the road
hurt, betrayed, and alone.
See the problem isn’t
that this hasn’t happened before,
the problem is,
is it has happened to many times.
I have been betrayed
for to long.
This is what happens
when you roll the window down
to let the air through.
Mom,
I’m not here because I need a break,
I’m here because I rolled the window down to far
and they decided to throw me out.
