Exposure
Dense jungle surrounded my
curious spirit.
I did not feel tangled,
I traversed with my family.
When the foliage cleared,
noise and life
stood still.
Dad, Grandma and I trekked through the prickly path
all for what?
“What a view” he proclaimed so rewardingly.
Looking down onto ten stories of ground gave me enough confidence to fly a plane.
The camera snapped.
Reminded me of the twigs my boots trampled during our eternal journey.
Sweat dripped down magically on our arrival.
The way down just soaked in.
