Forced Surrender
You hurt me with your words
The ones you frequently speak
You talk down to me
As though I have no feelings
No sense,
No morals,
no intelligence
No thougts for the future.
But do you really know me?
Of course,I have feelings.
Of course, I have sense.
Of course, I have morals.
Of course, I am intelligent.
Of course, I have thoughts for my own future.
And, of course, you couldn't see that.
You only think of yourself,
Therefore, forcing me to keep quiet
To hold in y thoughts
Never to tell my side of the story.
Because no matter what,
I'm always "wrong"
And you're always "right,"
So constantly, we continue to fight.
I-for my own justice.
You-for your own ego, arrogance, and your self-absorbed thoughts and actions.
And the funny thing is,
We're so alike.
Both stubborn, unable to give in to the other.
However, I'm forced to give in.
On the outside, I must agree with you.
In order to end the clashing argument of our own opinions.
But on the inside,
I'm fuming, annoyed, screaming, and even loathing your very presence.
If I were to speak my opinion, I would get shot down immediately.
By your words,
The words that hurt me.
So I give up.
You will always win.
I will always losed.
The best choice for me to make,
Is to win the battles in which I choose.
Now those,
Those are the battles I'm willing to take.
