Coma of Love

Our love is in a coma;
A state of deep unconsciousness
lasting for a prolonged
or indefinite period.
They don’t expect us to come out of it.
Filled with hatred,
our glassy eyes dart in opposite directions
at a simple passing,
like opposite ends of a magnet.
We will eventually drift
into a vegetative state,
highly unlikely to be awaken
from this horrific hebetude.
