Fairtytales
You were my night in shining armor
Always faithful, always true
Your cross shinning like a beacon of light
You were the closest thing to perfection I'd ever seen
But the truth came out as it always must
Suddenly the cross seemed ironic and hypocretical
You had no idea all that I found out
For months it seemed impossible to meet your gaze
But eventually the shock faded and became normalcy
After all I had searched for the truth
I should have been prepared that not everythings not a fairytale
How could I expect it to be?
