Lie Under the Water
Sunlight streaks the surface,
Shining bright into your eyes,
And you plunge into the depths,
Water swirling around you,
Wrapping around like silk ribbons.
Laying on the wet sand,
Back against the bottom,
Looking up at the world,
Looking at the top,
An unbreakable stretch of glass.
Streaks of sun like DNA,
Dance along the ocean floor,
In clusters and groups,
Their ends linked together,
Creating a beautiful pattern.
Its a quiet world down here,
Its a peaceful world down here,
Its a pretty world down here,
Its a better world down here,
Reserved for ones who lie under the water
