I Don't Understand

I don't understand
Why people bring down the dreams of others
Why people control the lives of others
Why people don't see that what they do is causing someone to drown.
But most of all
Why a kids future is dependent on a letter or a number
Why kids are looked down on when they don't know what to do
Why a future is planned the moment a kid is born.
What I understand most is
That no one can achieve another person's dream
That no one can take blow after blow
That everyone needs a break.
