The Void

What can I do to fill this void?
This emptiness inside of me
There's a hole where something should be
Friendship
Love
But instead nothing
I try to fill it with things
Friends who aren't there for me
The people who I thought i could trust
It was once filled
By people who really knew
Whom I could trust
Then I pushed them aside for a new life
A "better" life
A life full of emptiness and void
Now I wish I wasn't so foolish
To have known who really cared
So I didn't have this void
One which I can only hope to fill
