Give Yourself a Break
Give yourself a break
Do you realize you’ve made it this far?
Hold on a little longer and you’re free
Throw your regrets into the water
Watch them drown and sink to the bottom
Get on that plane
Don’t you realize you’ve made it this far?
Run a little bit faster and you’re there
Cut your fears into pieces
Watch them burn in a crimson flame
Allow yourself to live
Don’t you realize you’ve made it this far?
Embrace your flaws; you’re here
Wrap your arms around yourself
Watch your soul ignite

I'm leaving for college this fall and I never thought I'd get this far. I never take the time to realize how much I've done because all I see are my regrets, fears, and flaws. Everyone has them, that’s what makes us interesting. Just because you've had set-backs does not mean you can't succeed. If you allow yourself to get rid of the weight holding you back you might be surprised just how far you will go. You will stop existing and start living.
