Inside a world of chaos
She sat on the stairs.
Searching through the memories,
She tried to make pairs.

Happy? Sad?
Or were they both at once
Like a heist,
They swept her off her path and for the life of her-
She couldn't make a pair
Just like that she knew why they called her mad.

So majestic, was this emotion they called "love".
Never did she think she'd be one to speak of it,
But there she sat on the stairs,
Dangling her ever spinning head,
Yet still no pairs.

Giving up hope,
Or maybe just setting the memory of him free-
These 2 lonely steps of stairs,
Were all she could see.

Broken she looked,
As she sat on those stairs.
Once a halfway point-
But that point could no longer be there.

Trying to find peace,
I just had to set her free,
as something about her-
Came dawning on me.

I will not allow her to care,
As it simply can not exist.
My own mother could not express it-
So why oh why,
Cant the angelic girl on the stairs resist?
