Ocean
And the I’m falling, oxygen escaping my lungs as I gasp away my last breathe. A single tear tears from my dehydrated body, descending as cowardly as I am. I was running from life; I was trapped between it and a cliff. I jumped. All along I knew that this would be it. Dreams of the ocean, the waves carrying me away. I land into the blue depth satisfied that finally I had chosen just one thing for myself, something absolute, completely meaningful paid with the price of a meaning that I just hadn’t found yet.
