"A Walk Through Heaven"
If today I strolled through heaven,
Tell me what would I see?
Would I know any of those happy souls?
Would any recognize me?
Are the sidewalks lined with silver,
The buildings made of gold?
Will the streetlights reflect memories to cherish and to hold?
Will our souls be renewed
With no clue where we've been?
Or will our souls be like a chalkboard slate
Lives written like a story.
And when time comes, we hit the dust and are wiped clean of former glory?
But the most important thing about heaven,
The most important thing to know,
No matter what awaits me, it's the place I want to go.
