Menomonee Park
Waukesha County is known for its many beautiful parks, but there is one that stands above the rest and it is called the Menomonee Park. This park was one of the first parks I visited when I first moved to Sussex, Wisconsin. I was truly amazed at the size and scenery it has compared to other parks. Most of the park systems back in Ohio where I used to live, were nothing but a small patch of “forest” or a playground.
What I enjoy most is seeing the campsites that are spread throughout Menomonee Park. The park has about 465 acres of land, so more than enough space to explore. There is something for everyone here and that is why it is loved by people of all ages.
The park is just about a 10 minute drive from where I live and it is always fun to visit. I( tend to go more in the summer to go on the beach and go in the water. In the water they have a floating dock with a diving board, which is always fun to do.
