It Was My Fault

Those are the words I chanted to myself as I cut deeper.
Those are the words I thought as I stuck my fingers down my throat.
Those are the words I fell asleep to after downing a bottle of pills at age 14.
Those are the words I cried to in the bed of the psych ward.
Those are the words I have learned to reject.
Those are the words I know are wrong.
It was not my fault.
