Savior
Like an angel sent from above
She saved me and gave me love
She saw goodness in me when no one could
Helped me survive when no one would
She saw the pain that was drowning me
How broken I was she was able to see
She picked up the pieces though her hand it cut
Though she bled she didn't stop, she said it hurt but,
"You're worth it." She whispered to me
"From this darkness I promise I'll set you free
Just close your eyes I'm right here.
I'll never let go I swear my dear."
It hurt me to see her try
Because I knew I could only make her cry.
For sadly I was not the prince; I was the shark
I'd only make her light turn to dark
I was a monster that no one could tame
No matter what I'd still remain the same.
So I thought of her and further I tried to push her away
Even though it hurt to be separated even for a day.
Tortured by my painful past
I thought each night was my last
But she never gave up and back she came
The beast inside me she could finally tame
With her beauty and kindness she could heal
All the scars and wounds and I could finally feel.
She cleansed my soul and bones
My beautiful savior Julie Ann Jones
