They Hear
The walls and things around me can see and hear,
The walls and things around me are always there.
They sit and listen and know everything know,
They snicker and torment at every hit and blow.
They hear and jeer at my cries,
They judge and laugh at what I try to hide.
The walls and things around me know
What I refuse to show.
They sit and watch with open eyes,
And remind me of what I despise.
They reflect my flaws and pain
They throw back my shame.
The walls and things around me can hear
They all know,
And yet, they're still there.
