Curtains
Everything starts when I open the old back door, and take off my shoes. Then when I go into the small kitchen and sit on the chair I begin to think about all my days since coming here to the U.S. The curtains hear me, they are like my brain; because I like to think in front of my window, they protect me from negative thoughts. When I open the window, the breeze blows in, and the curtains begin dancing with excitement. When the window is closed and the breeze can not blow in, they feel bored and just wait for me, because I am in school. Sometimes I just want to be at home and eat some fruit, sit on the chair next to my window, and imagine about what I am going to do with my life. The curtains start to talk to me; they give me advice. One thing they suggest is that I need to be patient a little bit longer, because I would like to live with my mom...but she can't come here, so always, when I look through the window, and I am so close to my curtains, they give me a big hug, and I understand that I just need to wait, wait and wait. The curtains feel my moods; at night when the sun is hiding and the moon is up, it is time for going to dream again. The curtains like to see the stars, because at night when all lights are off at home, they have their own glow more powerful than any lights; the stars give them more charge for next day.
