Beach Day

Warm rays envelope me
A toasty warming embrace
I've been in the dark too long
With troubles I've longed to face

The warm, salty breeze
Dances in my hair
The darkness tries to swallow me
Allow it I wouldn't dare

I shove the blackness back within
And carry on my day
My blonde waves are filled with salt
From the blue monster that churns and sways

Sun-kissed skin and sanded feet,
I choose to bravely stay
Out of the dark and into the light
I discovered this glorious beach day.
