People say lying makes us dirty and sinful
What’s wrong with lying?
Everyone around us lies
I don’t see the problem with it.

Happiness can be derived from lies
Like when the abusive father said to his daughter,
“I love you, sweetie, I won’t do it ever again.”
Or that time when the alcoholic told her son,
“This is my last drink for life.”
I could never forget
When the ex-girlfriend told the ex-boyfriend,
“I will never leave your side.”
Those people who heard the lies
They were happy
Right?

I am told all the time that lying is wrong
...But what is wrong with hiding the facts
Twisting the truth
Or creating a new story?
