Letting Go
She met a guy with the loveliest eyes.
Having him; he greatest prize.
She knew getting him would take a magic spell,
They hit it off amazingly well.
She felt like a princess by no surprise,
But then began all the lies.
The following days were hell.
The road with every winding turn seem to quell.
Only carefully observant eyes,
Could only reveal what I most despise.
Although you believed your intentions were well,
Most nights felt like hell.
She’d never forget his loving eyes,
But knew letting go would have its highs.
