My life is Basketball
I jump and yell before the game starts
My body covered in hope
8 years of practice
My mind is focused
I visualize everything I want to do
My home my court
The crowd surrounding me full of family and friends
Attracted to the bright lights
My team in front of me
Making our way to the court
Still sensing the sudden thrill of anticipation
We circle up, hands raised high, shouting
A team together
All focused on glory
