The Hospital Pass
Getting to the top is like the calm before the storm
As you drag your board to the edge, it requires no kind form
As you look down you wonder, is this a hospital pass?
A near voice exclaims, “good thing we took a class!”
The thing you’re looking at is like an abyss
Scattered with icy mounds impossible to miss
The trees are a maze, and you are a rat
Your cheese is the bottom; safe and flat
In an intriguing instant, you initiate the run
You’re sure as soon as you start you’ll be done
The world passes by at the speed of light
You hit a small bump and the board takes flight
You land in ice, something you didn’t foresee
As your board slides out, you hit a tree
You lay there and think “maybe this run just isn’t for me”
