Sadness
Sadness; to get out is a conundrum,
Feelings that are troublesome.
Sometimes stretching from day to day,
Or cessation, at the end of today.
Despondency reaches for your soul,
Making you feel anything but whole.
Sadness is a cloudy day,
Overcast and shadowy.
Darkness blots out every light,
Leaving only our doldrums in sight.
No light, no warmth, only sheer cold -
Looking for the sunlight, bright yellow and gold.
We struggle to trap happiness, when nearby it looms
But when you trap this light, hold onto it tight
For another day of dark and gloom.
Sadness; We don’t want to feel it
But when you do,
Replace it with happiness, bit by bit
Find solace, find friends
Bring sadness to its end.
