Kenny's Boat
The smell of bait and diesel fuel,
in Cutler Harbor.
His boat is brighter than the sky,
and the reflection on the water.
Nobody knew the he might not be here tomorrow,
not even him.
Theres a lot of memories in one picture that you can not see.
The thoughts of him driving into the yard with fireworks,
and lighting them off down in the field.
The memories of riding by his boat in the harbor.
But now his boat isn’t there.
He's not here in the physical world.
I can’t remember the last conversation I had with him.
It happens so quick.
One day he’s here,
and the next day he’s gone forever.
The day we’ll all remember forever is,
August 11, 2013.
Kenny was a loving soul,
that is still loved.
His boat is no longer in this town,
but is still in our memories.
In loving memory of Kenneth H. Dennison
