Little girl
When it's too late to cry but too soon to forget,
What can I do with all this regret?
I'll go on like I was, like nothing is wrong.
Fake smiles and laughter, it goes on too long.
The fragile small girl comes out to play
In the comfort of night, not in the day.
And soon my life is substituted with fake happiness
Fake people, fake kindess and fake self esteem.
But what if the only only fake thing is me?
So I'll lay in my bed and dream of a world
Where everything this is perfect for this little girl
Because it's wearing and tearing and pulling apart,
The shreds of the girl, he once thought he taught,
How to be stronger than her darkest thoughts.
