I can't hear you through this silence

I can't pick up the things you say.

The waters we swim are murky

Backed up with promises floating away.

What? Did you try to ask me something?

Are you finally trying to break through?

The fog of quiet is building up now

I can't see- I can't hear from you.

We can blame it on the silence

Knowing us, we wouldn't have to try.

The Silence packed up all your things

The Silence told you to fly.

When The Silence stretched your brand new wings

And shoved you from the nest,

You left me here all by myself

While you earched for yourself- for the best.

Without you here, The Silence got me.

She shrouded me in black.

She chained me up and locked me down,

Took parts of me I can't get back.

Sometimes I'll sit inside my jail

And I'll watch the birds fly happy and free.

I'll curl up tight inside myself

And hope you'll come back for me.
