Bad Habits
You should know what you're getting yourself into.
Sleep is my salvation
And when I wake up I am always afraid.
I cry rivers, and oceans and rainstorms
there will not be droughts while I am around.
But don't worry, I will not drown in myself again.
I trip and fall
on sidewalks, in love
I fall off rooftops and for tricks.
I'm clumsy, and trusting.
I will make a home in your arms,
leave my lips imprinted on your forehead.
I will tell you I love you as many times as I say I'm sorry.
My skin is covered with ancient bruises,
past lovers have left their mark.
So write me love letters with your heart, before you write them with your lips.
Make sure you know my edge before you say we don't fit.
Be gentle because I am fragile
Be careful because I am strong.
Love,
Me
