New King
The shadows dance and the puppets sing.
Don’t you think it’s time for a new King?
One who knows not to control
And he’ll know when he needs parol.
Too much said, or not enough?
The truth is something meant to be blunt.
Not something exaggerated with spices and decor.
More of something you lay straight out on the floor.
As is, that’s life fo ya.
Now, now, don’t be a “dah”.
You saw this day long and clear, it was waiting for you.
You sang your praises and drank your wine,
But the sins come now and you're out of time.
Your King will die and with that your spirit.
No one will listen, and no one will hear it.
The world is ending and all are lost.
Was their life really worth that cost?
To be to stubborn to admit your faults.
Or are you reconsidering, well its too late.
No one will save them, not until the beginning has come.
The end is near, hush my dear, don’t you fret.
Soon enough you will be dead.
And then we will have our King.
