P.S. You'll Remember Me
Dear Scar-Inducing Bullies,
Do you remember me?
I was the Fat One.
The girl you made fun of.
Who you spit insults at.
A poor soul you ganged up on.
The victim of your misery-fueled hate.
How did it feel?
Did you enjoy it?
My tears filled your cup of sadism.
My frown turned yours into a smile.
My pleas for you to stop,
only made music in your ears.
As my heart ripped and shredded,
yours thrived and rejoiced.
Did your pride feed
on the shame on others?
You scarred a defenseless creature
in more ways than one.
I'm the one who bled humiliation,
and felt worthless all the time.
However dear Generals,
I thank you.
You taught me:
How to build walls around myself.
How to make a heart from steel.
How to deflect pain from myself onto others.
You threw me into
the true cruelty of the world.
And all that at just four years old.
Sincerely,
A Longtime Warrior

As a victim of bullying, I can attest to the consequences that it has had on me. Over a decade later, bullying continues to effect my life, the way I act and how I treat othes. When I tried explaining it someone, I couldn't put the words together in way that made since. This is my explanation.
