Stuck
I once met a man
Who drank the elixir of life
He told me he could live forever
But with a sigh, he told me:
"Living through the same day over and over
Knowing that no matter where you go
Knowing that no matter what you do
It's not going to matter when the sun rises the next day."
"Slowly, life loses it's meaning.
What's the point of living if you're stuck?
I have to watch my friends suffer
I have to watch my people die."
I once met a man
Who drank the elixir of life
And although he lived 'till the end of time
His soul was as empty as his words.

Inspired by a short story I read, I wanted to write about how life has no meaning to those who live forever. I hope if gives readers a new perspective on the eternal youth and invincibility.
