Oh video games,
how far you have come from your 8-bit era,
your unwavering variety allows
any game I pick up to be different from the rest.
There is always a gamble when picking up a new game,
will it be awesome or will it be the new E.T. game.

They can bring you into a world unlike any other
where you can be or do whatever you want
your ability to let me destroy my friends
without actually hurting them (physically)
the ruler of the game gets respect

To start up a game and open up a fantasy world
unlike any other world before is amazing.
Where your wildest fantasies can become realities,
where your dreams come true for better or worse.
Where your imagination is the only limit

For Your ability to distract me from any problem,
for the way you make me forget the bad in my life.
How i can pick up a game I’ve played seventeen times before
and play it in a completely different way than i have ever played it.
