BANG!

Pounding horns,

Sweet bird-like flutes

Fill the blank spaces of sound.

A soothing mexican tune

Breaks out twixt the strings

Of a guitar.

We are suddenly trasported

By the constant ringing of horns,

The wild west,

yet

So soft,

So calm,

Like wave crashing onto a sea shore.

Birds flying across the sky...

BANG!

 "We're back," says the horns.

The rest of the orcastra

Argues

Back and Forth.

Drums dodge the sounds

Of the piercing horn section

As the song

Slowly Fades

Into an opaque

Abyss...

The author's comments:

This poem was inspired by the theme song to The Magnificent Seven.

Listen to that song after you read this poem, you will see how it pairs up.
