People say that great minds think alike,
But the greatest minds think like no one's ever thought before.
The greatest minds come once in a lifetime,
And think in such a unique manner that cannot be matched.

It's hard to comprehend what makes up the very depths of a unique mind.
Just to unfold all that resides within the minds of those who,
Against all odds, have managed to educate themselves;
Managed to further their knowledge of all that can be known;
It's truly a beautiful thing.

Education; knowledge:
Two words uncommon to none.
Yes, these words are where it all comes back to--
Where the pieces to the puzzle of a magnificent life form begin to take shape;
Where a simple thought spins out into an entire state of mind.

Indeed it is said that knowledge is power. When, in fact,
It is greatly overlooked that this in itself is not the truth.
A person can possess as much knowledge as the sky is infinite,
But knowledge left uncultivated does nothing for anyone.
Rather, it is lost to the deep nothingness that is the back of our minds--
A loss worth grieving for.

A beautiful mind is something to hold on to.
To say the very least,
You can decide to use it or lose it.
Not using such a gift could be the biggest mistake one could ever make.
And yet, still, people continue to make that mistake:
Not wasting the treasure that already is a beautiful mind;
Wasting what could become the greatest mind of all.

The author's comments:

I think a lot about certain sayings that people use that are just totally wrong and actually make no sense, when thought about from a logical point of view. One saying that came to mind was "great minds think alike." From that thought, I elaborated on my own logical opinion of the statement and from the that my poem "Greates Mind of All" was born.
