Favorite Quote:
Talent will get you in the door. But character will keep you in the room.

The coded message you emanate
is translucent in the silence.
Your grey eyes translate the dark cryptograms
that stretch my soul.

Every night you push me farther to reach
the light switch. Strangling my mind to turn it off
like yours. But in the darkness
I cannot ward off
your ghoulish hands.

Your raw prints on their necks,
mine untouched.
The dark magenta bruises
lie on their hips
reflecting the moon with a tear drop
of my penitence.

I see your insincere secrets
and no dirt is under my nails.
My white shirt is kept buttoned
and I remain in your stained heart.
But your symbols say it’s not long,
so I lift my skirt for you
hoping that mine won’t touch the dirt.
