Weakness
It can be crippling sometimes.
It comes in unexpected waves
Knocks you over
Steps on your face and spits on you.
It begins to strip you of dignity, happiness, self-worth.
You feel hopeless
Like you can do nothing but lie still and accept it
You watch yourself begin to slip away
Things once filled with purity and happiness begin to overflow with hatred and despair.
But you can’t give in.
Stand up.
Smile at it.
Laugh in its face and throw it to the ground.
It’s only as powerful as you let it be
So make it shrivel up into nothing.
Make yourself whole again.
Flush out the spite and replace it with what you need.
Free yourself from its grasp and never let yourself go back.
You are stronger than it.
Remember that.
